Daniel is a music educator and performer based in Indiana, Pennsylvania. He offers private lessons on violin, viola, and piano to students of all ages and ability levels. He is a classically trained musician but is also experienced in folk, bluegrass, and klezmer styles. Daniel has performed in the Resolving Fifths Quintet, a professional string ensemble playing a variety of genres from Mozart to Sinatra for various events. Daniel has previously performed with the Williamsport Symphony Youth Orchestra, the Lycoming College Community Orchestra and Young Artists Baroque Orchestra, as well as the Bloomsburg Community Orchestra, the IUP Symphony Orchestra, and also the IUP Symphony Band and IUP University Band (the last two playing wind instruments – trombone and flute, respectively) In these ensembles, he was able to gain proficiency in a great variety of repertoire, all the way from symphonies and operas to musical theatre and jazz. Daniel also has a considerable background in traditional Catholic and Orthodox liturgical music.

Furthermore, Daniel writes music for various orchestral, chamber, and choral ensembles in various genres, including his own style, which might be described as a fusion of Austrian classical form and Slavic folk flavors. He also plays organ, piano and sings bass, baritone, and low tenor vocals. Daniel is well versed in chant, choral singing, and cantoring in the Ruthenian Greek-Catholic Church. He was a member of the IUP Chamber Singers and was honored to perform with other members of IUP Choirs alongside Andrea Bocelli at the famed Italian tenor’s spring 2024 concert in Pittsburgh. Daniel holds a BA in Philosophy and Theology from Holy Apostles College and a BSed. in Music Education, with concentrations in Viola and Organ, from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, both degrees earned summa cum laude.
